Monzer is specialised in communications and policy advice. He has a Master's of Law (LL.M.) in International Law, with a Speciality in Political Strategy & Communication. He has worked previously as an analyst in the international legal field.

Bakhadir is a seasoned corporate professional with over 20 years of experience in the food industry within the dynamic and rapidly evolving Central Asia region. He has successfully managed intricate business operations across food production, import, and retail distribution sectors. His deep expertise in end-to-end supply chain management and strategic business planning is pivotal in fostering long-term customer relationships at EAS Strategies. Bakhadir holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, equipping him with the skills to navigate complex business environments effectively.

Bakhadir Akhmetjanov
Regional Director, Central Asia & Caucasus
Ann coordinates the operational side of the Brussels business as Administrative Manager. She supports the global team in their daily work and liaises with suppliers and our external accountants on finances and client billing.
Ann has been with EAS Strategies for more than 25 years. Before joining EAS Strategies, she worked at the Belgian Food Federation. She has a master's degree in translation (French-Danish).

Administrative Manager
Alena oversees administrative functions of the business and ensures tailored client support. Alena has a degree in linguistics and another degree in finance. She is happy to help with any administrative issues.

Elena has many years of experience working on EU legislation and policy in food safety and nutrition gained both at EAS Strategies and previous work in European trade associations. She specialises in interpreting developments, their practical implications and their impact on business. Her broad knowledge and extensive network across decision-makers and industry allows her to advise clients on strategies to manage navigate complex legislative and policy issues landscapes.

Elena Cogalniceanu
Manager, Public Affairs
Patrick is recognised as a leading expert in European food law through his work of more than 30 years with the European Commission, EFSA and other decision-making bodies. With a specialisation in novel foods, health claims, additives and contaminants, he provides trainings and strategic insights to companies, trade associations and government authorities, in particular relating to the data requirements for applications for authorisation. Patrick is a nutritional scientist and previously worked in scientific, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.

Patrick Coppens
Managing Director, Europe & MEA
Stefanie specialises in providing analysis and advice on scientific opinions and regulatory developments in the EU. She has worked on European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) issues since its creation in 2002 and provides analysis of the impact of EFSA opinions and guidance on health claims, nutrition, botanicals, food additives and novel foods. Stefanie has a background in biochemistry. She is fluent in German, English, Italian and French.

Stefanie Geiser
Manager, Regulatory Affairs
Manal is a specialist in regulatory affairs and market entry in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). With a deep understanding of food regulations, she works across both the private and public sectors where she provides clients with strategic guidance on navigating complex regulatory pathways across this region. Manal also plays an instrumental role in providing advice to governments on the development of their regulatory frameworks across the MEA region. Manal comes from Jordan and has a strong academic and professional foundation in the field of food safety and technology. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.

Manal Khouri
Regulatory Affairs Manager, Middle East Africa
Evgenia has a background in chemistry and more than 15 years experience in R&D with global FMCG companies, most recently as a regulatory manager and consumer insights manager. She specialises in regulatory monitoring, risk assessment and product compliance in CIS markets. She is also an expert in the development and implementation of regulatory electronic tools and databases.

Evgenia Lemzakova
Regulatory Expert
Efi is specialised in the regulatory evaluation of food products across the EU including formula compliance checks, labelling advice and market access procedures. She also supports companies on the key interpretation questions in the law and assists them in developing strategies for the EU and other regions.
A food bioengineer with a Masters in Marketing and an MBA, she has been closely involved in many government trainings and in the development of European Commission studies in the food area.

Efi Leontopoulou
Manager, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs
Eugenia leads regulatory projects on foods, beverages, food supplements and other nutritional products, including their ingredients in Latin America. She has also built a special expertise in how government approaches to health and nutrition are impacting regulation. Through her network across the region, she also provides early warning of the potential business impact of new regulatory and policy initiatives across the food area. She is an Argentinian national and has a background in nutrition science. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

With multiple years of experience in the food and chemical sectors, Alexey is an expert in various aspects of food safety, health & nutrition policies, international trade and market regulation. He holds a PhD in organic chemistry and executive MBA.

Alexey Petrenko
Director, Global Projects
Marina specialises in food law and food safety regulation in the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states. She advises on the classification of products, the status of ingredients, labelling, compliance, health claims and marketing procedures. Marina holds a degree in biophysics.

Marina Ponomareva
Regional Director
With more than 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs, Katarina specialises in the regulatory evaluation of food products in Europe and develops strategies for successful market entries in Central and Eastern Europe. She monitors harmonisation processes in the EU and provides tailored training sessions. She manages the EAS international network of independent regulatory experts. Katarina holds a university degree in Biology & Mathematics, and an MBA in International Marketing. She is fluent in Slovak, English, German and Czech.
